EASTHAM HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Gail Hoffman at 7PM in the Small Meeting Room in Town Hall.
Present: Richard Dill, Lyn Chafetz, Mary Sedlock, and Dilys Smith
Richard Dill reported on his trip to MASSAPPEAL and discussions with Big Sister/Big Brother. Mary Sedlock reported on her discussions with Cape Cod Human Services. A visit to the ECOA office and Sandy Sedlak by Gail Hoffman, Mary Sedlock and Dilys Smith was noted. Gail discussed her preliminary phone call about the Legal Services requirements.
The clerk requested that these reports be e-mailed to her for easier inclusion in the permanent minutes to be filed at the end of our meeting session.
Remaining reports will be received next week: Chief Hedlund, Sight Loss, School Guidance, and CapeAbilities and others not as yet completed.
We began a brief review of requests for next year and our basic intentions in fulfilling as many as we could – sharing our thoughts about the importance of supporting those agencies which dealt most strongly with EASTHAM residents.
Minutes of the October 21 meeting were discussed; Richard Dill moved for acceptance, and was seconded by Mary Sedlock. The Committee accepted them.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45PM.
NOTE: There will be no meeting on November 4 (Election Day); we will reconvene on November 11 at 7:00PM in the Police Station Meeting Room.
